Week 6 Digital Technology
Photoshop
Print and Photoshop Layers
In Class
1. Lantern
Before
After
I edited this Image by going into photoshop Raw and straightening the image. I then opened the image into Photoshop and made a new layer by dragging the background layer down to the "Create a new layer" Symbol box at the bottom of the layers panel. I then used Hue/Saturation to change the lantern from Red to Pink.
2. Whangarei Heads
Before
After
This image I opened straight into Photoshop unlike the first image. First thing I did was create a new layer "As described above" and used the tone curve to help change the shadowing to give more detail. I then opened another layer and took the Vibrance up to give more vibrance to anything taken away after using the tone curve. I then created an another layer and used the Hue/Saturation panel to put detail back into the image.
Self Directed
1. Close Crop
Before
After
I opened this image straight into Photoshop and added a new layer and took the saturation down to change the image black and white. I then opened the Image into Photoshop Raw and when to the HSL/Grey Scale panel and upped some of the Greens in the background to give more detail.
2. Landscape
Before
After
This Image I also opened straight into Photoshop. First thing I did was create a new layer and then when to the HSL/Grey Scale to change the Image to black and white. I then made a new layer and used the adjustment brush to undo around my sister's boy to make her colour again, so she stands out in the image.
Exhibited Image
I didn't edit this image in Photoshop cause I took this before I started the cause in April or May, BUT I had this Image Exhibited at the Franklin Arts Festival Over the Weekend :) The Editing I did do with this Image was I made the background gold cause in the original Image the background was blue and I didn't like it, I did this using a site on the internet that I've been using for years. I love how it turned out though and I'm very proud that it was exhibited, my very first image.
